At Last, Welcome to My Table

Thank you and welcome.

We’ve finally launched! The last few weeks of waiting have been both the hardest and the most exciting. This is my passion project, the one I imagined for years but didn’t start until recently. At times it seemed easier to focus on things that were practical and safe. But I kept coming back to this idea and imagining what this site could become.

This blog began small, just like any project. It started as saved and modified recipes collected over the years. It gained momentum as I shared dishes with friends and family, tweaking them and refining along the way.

The project truly began to come together in early September 2025 with Nerrissa’s help. She has been instrumental in bringing this blog to life. She helped me focus my energy and organize my thoughts. She encouraged me through moments of frustration. She offered much-needed coaching on social media. And she connected me with a fabulous web designer. Her support has been steadfast, always present, and always on my time frame.

As this blog became a reality, I naturally focused first on the holidays. I shared tips and dishes for Thanksgiving dinner and added options for the main Christmas feast. Of course I included baked goods, and there are still more to come. I consider Christmas to be the perfect time for special treats, especially those only made once a year. One of the recipes I shared was my great-grandmother’s Sandtart cookie recipe. It has been passed down through generations.

So many people have been incredibly supportive along the way. Thank you for your enthusiasm as I talked about my plans for this blog. Thank you for your patience as there were unexpected delays. But really, delays should always be expected. As they say “always expect the unexpected.” There were moments of frustration when progress seemed slow. But the process has been deeply exciting. I’ve had the privilege of watching something imagined slowly become real.

Thank you to those who live close enough to taste-test and offer feedback. Your encouragement and honest input have helped turn this project into a reality. I love creating and sharing food. For those of you who are too far away to share directly, your enthusiasm and support have helped more than you can know. I hope you will recreate my recipes and feel included that way. Sharing always makes food taste better.

If you try a recipe, I’d love to hear how it turned out. Pull up a chair, explore the recipes, and make yourself at home. This table was made for sharing
